4S Bay Partners teamed with Depaul USA to support the development of its first DAX Program dormitory in Philadelphia to serve housing-insecure college students. The program draws student participation from Temple University, LaSalle University, and Peirce College, among others.
In 2019, Depaul USA approached 4S Bay Partners with the opportunity to purchase St. Joseph’s Convent which was ideally suited for student housing. Working with Cicada Architecture and Simiano Construction, the 1960s constructed building was renovated to include twenty-two individual student rooms, shared kitchen and bathrooms, lounges, and dedicated study areas. To provide a model for cleaner living, the building was equipped with rooftop solar panels to offset the utility costs. In April 2020, the building was opened and made available to a group of selected students.
